Jeb Michael Berry, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and skilled carpenter, passed away unexpectedly on July 28, 2025, in West Chester, Ohio. Born in Cincinnati on May 11, 1963, Jeb was a cherished member of his community and a beloved figure to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jeb began his career in carpentry at the tender age of 16 and was a graduate of Lakota High School. He dedicated his life to building homes and improving living spaces, leaving behind a legacy of craftsmanship and dedication. His work was not merely a job; it was a demonstration of his commitment to his craft and to those he served.
Jeb was known for his kind-hearted nature, always willing to lend a hand to family, friends, or even strangers. He was a man of faith, actively participating at Faith Community United Methodist Church, where he volunteered his carpentry skills to assist others. Those who knew him appreciated his genuine spirit and his unwavering support in times of need.
His family was everything to him. Jeb is survived by his loving wife, Anita Beth Berry, whom he married in 1992. He is also survived by his son, Nathan Joseph Berry, and his parents, James Melvin (Mel) Berry and Carole Sue (Sue) Berry, as well as his sister, Liza Lynn Tumbusch. He has 2 granddaughters, Makaila Berry and Natalie Berry who loved him dearly and 2 nephews, Zachary Joseph Tumbusch and Steven Edward James Troutman, who carry fond memories of their uncle's warmth and kindness.
Jeb's joy extended beyond his professional life. He found pleasure in a variety of hobbies, including spending time with his family, caring for his beloved cats, watching Xavier basketball with his dad, riding ATVs, and enjoying the great outdoors. He was a remarkable son, brother, uncle, husband, and grandfather, deeply devoted to his family and creating lasting memories together.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Gordon and Helen Berry, his maternal grandparents, Russell Truitt and Nel Randall, and his uncle Kenny Berry, and uncle Buck Truitt. Their love and guidance shaped Jeb into the incredible person he became.
Funeral services for Jeb will be held at Faith Community located at 8230 Cox Rd, West Chester, Ohio, on August 5, 2025. Visitation will start at 10:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM.
Jeb Michael Berry leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering support for his family. He will be remembered fondly by all whose lives he touched.
