Jeffrey "Jeffro" Smith

June 27, 1971 — August 10, 2021

Jeffrey “Jeffro” Smith, 50, a loving son, husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend lost his three-year battle with cancer August 10, 2021.

He is survived by his mother Kathryn Ann Smith, father James Leroy Smith, wife Chrissie, daughter Cassidy, brothers Jason (Shanna), Justin, Jeremy, sisters Jeanne (Charles), Jaye (David), nieces and nephews Cheyenne, Casey, Chase, Ben, Kat, Riley, Nora, and Iris.

Jeff was a charismatic force of nature.   He had tremendous strength and love for his family and countless friendships.   He was the life of the party, someone everyone wanted to know.  He was a life teacher, advice giver, and caring soul.  He was always ready to listen to your happiness and pain and make you the most important person in the room.  He had an infectious smile, laugh, and a most generous nature.

Jeff was a true music lover.  He devoted a lifetime to enjoying music of all kinds.  His favorite way to experience life was through live music, attending hundreds of concerts across the country and local live music venues.  Through this love of live music, Jeff developed hundreds of lasting relationships, some spanning over 20 years.  Once you met him, you needed him in your life and held on to that friendship.

The love and attentiveness he showed all of us will never fade and can only grow stronger over time.  We ask that you keep Jeff’s memory alive for your lifetime.  Please never forget how he touched your life.  Keep sharing the stories and memories you made with him and keep his memory alive for others to know and share.  There are too many wonderful stories to ever forget.  He will always be with us on our journeys, still giving us love, guidance, friendship, and the inspiration to do better and love stronger.

Memorial Visitation for family and friends will start at 2:00 pm Friday, August 20, 2021 until the time of the service 3:00 pm at Hodapp Funeral Home, 8815 Cincinnati Columbus Rd (Rt. 42), West Chester, OH 45069.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations to Hospice of Cincinnati.
