Jerald “Jerry” Johnson, 78, of Liberty Township, OH, died on Tuesday, June 22, 2021.
Jerry was born April 12, 1943 in Iowa City, IA. He grew up in Iowa and Wisconsin. He graduated from Hillsboro High School, Hillsboro, WI. He served in the U.S. Army from 1963 to 1966. He married Marie Rueckheim on April 20, 1968. Jerry worked his adult life as a farmer and design engineer for many companies. Jerry loved helping his friends and family with home improvement projects. Jerry’s love language was cooking and caring for his family. Jerry was an active member of the Northeast Church of Christ and loved managing the food pantry.
Jerry is survived by son Shaun (Sherrie), daughters Heather (Craig) and Tammy (Kendall), 8 grandchildren, and sister, Eve Mattison. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his wife Marie and brother Lonnie.
The family plans a small informal celebration of his life on Saturday June 26th from 10:30 to 11:30 at Northeast Church of Christ, 12020 Southwick Lane, Cincinnati, OH 45241. In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation to Hope for Haiti’s Children, 12020 Southwick Lane, Cincinnati, OH 45241 in his honor.
