Jerry A. Meyer, a Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle passed away peacefully on August 20, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born on September 30, 1939, in Cincinnati, Ohio,
Jerry's life was a testament to love, dedication, and community spirit. He was a devoted husband to his dear wife, Betty Meyer, with whom he shared 66 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they cultivated a nurturing family environment and raised six remarkable children: Cindy (Steve) Doerman, Jerry Meyer Jr., Sharon (Jeryl) Weis, Connie Furqueron, Scott Meyer (Amy Lynn), and the late Carrie Meyer. His legacy continues through his adored grandchildren, Amanda Appel, Brian (Jane) Doerman, Maggie Collaitie, Monica (Chris) Hengge, Robbi Weis (Abi), and his precious great-grandchildren, Julian, Lewis, Patrick, Jack, Eva, Brooke, Gus.
Jerry was the cherished son of the late Albert & Florence Meyer. Dear brother of Raymond Meyer, and the late Martha Deitsch, Carol Meyer, Alvin Meyer, Robert Meyer, Mary Lynch and Mildred Breitenstein. Also survived by his numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
A graduate of Roger Bacon High School, Jerry found his calling as a Softball Park Manager for over 25 years. His career included cherished times at Kolping Society, Queen City, and River City, where he not only managed parks but also fostered friendships and created joyful memories for countless families. Jerry's commitment to his community extended beyond his work; he was an active and cherished member of the Kolping Society for many years, where he was known for his kindness and willingness to lend a helping hand.
Jerry's greatest joy was his family, and he treasured the moments spent with them. Whether fishing, camping, traveling, or cheering on his favorite Cincinnati Reds and Bengals, he was happiest when surrounded by his loved ones. His warmth and generosity left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He also enjoyed his time with his friends at the Harrison Community Center
A celebration of Jerry's life will take place on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, beginning with visitation from 10:00 until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at St. Ann Church, located at 2900 W. Galbraith Rd. Family, friends, and all whose lives he touched are invited to join in honoring his memory.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to help with funeral costs. Checks can be made payable to his loving wife Betty Meyer.
Jerry A. Meyer will be remembered as a man of great warmth, compassion, and unwavering love for his family and community. His legacy will forever be cherished, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
