Beloved husband of Erna M. Burke (nee Matje). Loving father of John W. Burke, Jr. (Melissa), Thomas P. Burke (Kimberly), Elizabeth A. Cope (Jeff), and Brian J. Burke (Lisa). Dear grandfather of Craig (Lindsey), Stephanie (Adam), Brittany (Terry), Ashley (Andrew), Emily (J.D.), Alexandria (Matt), Tyler (Kennedy), Kayde (Casey), Kelsy (David), and Ben (Beth). Dear great grandfather of Alizea, Adison, Ayden, Colton, Sophie, Isabella, Camden, Rex, and one great granddaughter on the way. Brother of Joseph P. Burke (Patricia), and the late Patricia A.  Poe (Richard) and James R.  Burke (surviving Karen). Son of the late John William and Rosella Josephine Burke. John is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Passed away August 16, 2023. Visitation will be held at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 5720 Hamilton Mason Rd., Liberty Twp., OH 45011, on Monday, August 28, 2023 from 10 AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. A Luncheon will follow immediately after Mass. Memorial Donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the Juvenile Diabetes Association.
