John D. Busemeyer

John D. “Jack” Busemeyer was born July 7, 1956, to John H. and Dorothy (Reder) Busemeyer of Wyoming, Ohio. He is survived by his wife Jeanne (Renaldy), sister Marilou (Busemeyer) Dome, nieces Maria (Semes) Hensler and Anne (Dome) Wood of Columbus, Ohio, and nephew Jon Dome of Denver, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his sister Judy (Busemeyer) Semes.

Jack attended St. James of the Valley grade school in Wyoming and Roger Bacon High School. He graduated from Miami University in 1978 with a degree in Social Studies Education. Rather than pursue a career in teaching, he landed a sales job at Scot Business Machines (IKON), becoming a sales manager for the typewriter division and then a sales trainer for copiers.

Jack partnered with his mentor and friend Larry Koesters, owner of Scot, to purchase Fore Seasons Indoor Golf, which they operated for two seasons. Upon closing Fore Seasons, Jack returned to the office machines industry as a sales trainer, working first at ABS Business Products and then ProSource.

Following in the footsteps of his father John, Jack was an avid golfer from a young age, competing in local amateur tournaments. He was a long-time member of Wyoming Golf Club and worked many years at Golden Tee. After retiring from the office machines industry, Jack worked as a golf ranger at GE Park and then Glenview Golf Course.

Jack will be remembered for his love of cats, his passion for politics, and his sharp wit.

Memorial Visitation will take place at the Hodapp Funeral Home 7401 Vine St., Carthage, Wednesday, September 30th from 5:30 PM until Funeral Service at 7:30 PM.
