John Thomas Pinter, a beloved husband, devoted father, dedicated son, loving brother and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2025, in Maineville, Ohio, at the age of 60. Born on June 16, 1964, in Cincinnati, Ohio, John was a shining light in the lives of those who knew him.
John dedicated 38 years of his life to serving as a postal carrier, earning a reputation for his unwavering work ethic and commitment to his community. Known for his great sense of humor and witty personality, he brought joy to both his family and coworkers, creating lasting memories and friendships along his journey.
Family was at the heart of John's existence. He took immense pride in raising his two sons, Tyler and Trey, instilling in them values that would guide them throughout their lives. John surrounded himself with the love of his family, always cherishing the times he spent with them. He would often take his sons to watch the Reds play, as well as spending quality time with them practicing at the ball park and doing what they loved, sharing his passion for baseball and creating fond memories that his family will treasure forever.
Together with his beloved wife, Gwen of 29 years, they shared a deep bond and love for one another that shone brightly. John was particularly excited about the upcoming celebration of his oldest son, Tyler's, marriage to his soon-to-be daughter-in-law, Macey, in June. Eagerly looking forward to welcoming Macey into the family.
John’s interests were diverse; he had a passion for collecting baseball cards and coins, which he pursued avidly. He found joy in yard work and making sure his home was in top shape. Road trips with Gwen filled their lives with exploration and new adventures, capturing the essence of their playful spirits.
John is survived by his wife, Gwen Pinter; their sons, Tyler Pinter (Macey Broyles) and Trey Pinter (Peyton Harris), sister Kathy Petrovitch (Greg), many brother and sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews. John’s legacy will live on through his family, the loving memories he created, and the lives he touched during his remarkable journey.
John Thomas Pinter is now reunited with his beloved parents, Ruth and Tom Pinter, in eternal peace. May his spirit continue to inspire and bring warmth to all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Visitation will take place at River Hills Christian Church, 6300 Price Rd, Loveland, OH 45140 on Friday May 16, from 10-11 with the funeral service following after at 11. A light lunch will take place after the funeral service at the same location from 12 noon until 1:30.
