Joseph M. Berger

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn Joseph M. Berger who passed away suddenly May 13, 2026 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Dianne Stehlin Berger, loving father to Kim Croft (Tom), Heather Cole (Gary), Megan Bishop (Bobby), step-father to Michael Stehlin (Kathy DeBrosse), Marc Stehlin (Monica Vilaboy), Julie Mason (Scott), Jenny Stehlin (Todd Overbeck), grandfather of ten, and great-grandfather of four. Also survived by his brother Bill Berger. Preceded in death by his brother John Berger, sister Mary Berger, and parents John and Margaret Berger. Joe graduated from Purcell high school with a full four-year scholarship to the University of Cincinnati for golf. He was a lifetime golfer both playing and teaching. Recently he had become an avid pickleball player and loved hiking with his dog Trooper. He loved his family and is missed by many, especially his best buddy Trooper. Joe donated his body to UC College of Medicine. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the SPCA Cincinnati. Visitation and memorial service will be held at Unity of Garden Park Church, Wednesday, June 3rd, visitation 5 PM and service at 6 PM.
