Joseph Walter Speed

SPEED, Joseph “Walt,” beloved husband of Rita Speed (nee Haarmann) for 58 years, dear father of Denny (Marian), Rick (Nancy), Jeff (Sandy) and Kevin (Laura) Speed, Karen (Eric) Weaver and the late Diane Tiernan and Mike (Christy) Tiernan, also survived by 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, brother of Sr. Mildred Speed, O.S.F. and the late Jim Speed. Sunday, October 11, 2009, age 82. Visitation at Hodapp Funeral Home, 6041 Hamilton Ave., College Hill, Thursday 6-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial Assumption Church, 7711 Joseph St., Mt. Healthy, Friday 10 a.m. Mr. Speed was a member of the Ohio Valley Officials Assoc. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Western Golf Assoc.
