Josh Hines

Josh “Joc” Hines of Sharonville, age 89, went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, July 28th, 2021 after a valiant battle with an illness. His love for his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his battle and gave him peace.

Josh was born on July 17, 1932, in Casey County, Kentucky, the son of the late Melvin Hines and Pursley (McAninch) Hines. Josh was a welder at Southern Ohio Fabricators and retired after 30 years of service. He has been a member of Landmark Church since 1953 and was a witness to everyone he was around.

Josh was a faithful man that loved the Lord and his family. He married his wife on December 19, 1953 in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Josh helped raise two children with patience, discipline, and love. He taught them the importance of hard work and loving others.

Josh is survived by his wife Lucy (Rodgers) Hines, two children Richard Hines (Marietta) and Pamela Bellamy (John) and two siblings Donna Martin and Jack Hines. Josh also leaves behind his grandchildren Brandon Bellamy, Josh Hines (Alex), Ryan Bellamy (Kristi), Megan Thomas (Brandon), Allison Traylor, and Melanie Sajnog (Adam); great grandchildren Teeghan, Charleigh, Paisley, Grace, Zoey, Baby Boy Hines, Lucy, Bo Joc, Gavin, Milee, Landon, Mitchell, Ella, Ava, Penelope, Theodore, and Oliver; along with other family and close friends. Josh was preceded in death by five siblings Flora May Vest, Charles Ray Hines, Maire Gay McDonald, James A. Hines, and Viola Fay Tarter.

Visitation will be on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at LANDMARK CHURCH, 1600 Glendale-Milford Rd., Cincinnati Ohio from 11:00AM-1:00PM for all family and friends until the time of the funeral at 1:00PM with Pastor Matt Holman officiating.
