Joyce D. Taphorn

Joyce D. (Roser) Taphorn of West Chester, Ohio for 55 years, age 85, passed into eternal life on May 31, 2025.

Joyce was born on January 30, 1940 to John and Myrtle (Butcher) Roser. She attended St. Francis de Sales grade school and Academy Notre Dame of Providence, graduating in 1957. She married John Taphorn in 1968. They had two children, a son, Randy and a daughter, Michelle.

Joyce was proceeded in death by her mother and father, John and Myrtle Roser, her brother, Ronald Roser and her husband of 29 years John Taphorn. Joyce is survived by her son Randy Taphorn, daughter, Michelle Meder. She was Mema to five grandchildren, Logan Taphorn, John Meder, Madelyn Meder, Brooklyn Meder and Ben Meder.

She enjoyed going to lunch with her high school friends and others. She also enjoyed traveling with friends and especially with her children and grandchildren, who called her Mema.

She loved working in her yard, especially cutting her grass and planting flowers.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, June 11, from 5 pm until 7 pm, at Hodapp Funeral Home in West Chester, 8815 Cincinnati Columbus Rd (US 42), West Chester, OH 45069.

Memorial Mass will take place on Friday, June 13, 2025 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Sharonville. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery
