Judy Resides

Judy Resides (nee Lloyd) was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandma, aunt, friend and teacher. She was born to Herbert and Emma Lloyd on July 27, 1952.


She traveled the world and then continued to seek adventure and service by joining the Navy. There she met her beloved husband, Thomas “Tom” Resides. They married on March 2, 1985. They had two children Rachel (Chris) Pansing and Ryan (Katherine) Resides. She was dear grandmom to Aidan, Riley, Owen, Emma, and Griffin. Judy is also survived by her brothers, Henry (Debra) Lloyd, Tim (Honey) Lloyd, Marcus Lloyd and sisters Sharon (the late Bob) Sullivan, Valerie (Greg) Wittkorn and many cousins, nieces and nephews.


She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Education from Norfolk State University in Elementary Education and Master’s degree in Reading from Xavier University. She loved sharing her passion for reading and learning with students in Princeton City Schools.


Judy loved to spend time with her grandkids. She loved reading with them, making crafts with them and joining them on adventures. Judy loved baking and sharing her treats with others. She was also an artist; she enjoyed painting, embroidering, sewing and quilting. She was a woman of faith and encouraged people to read the Bible and pray. Many animals were adopted and fostered during her life much to the joy of her family.


Passed away Monday, May 16, 2022. Visitation will be held Monday, May 23, 2022, at Hodapp Funeral Home, 8815 Cincinnati Columbus Rd., West Chester, OH 45069, from 5:30 PM until 7:30 PM. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 11 AM (visitation time starting at 10AM) at Princeton Pike Church of God, 6101 Princeton Glendale Rd, Liberty Township, OH 45011. Interment following funeral service at Rose Hill Burial Park, 2421 Princeton Rd, Hamilton, OH 45011. In lieu of flowers, kindly direct donations to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Cincinnati Walk - JR’s Pink Patrol team is named in her memory.
