Kevin E. Palmer

Kevin E. Palmer was born February 15th, 1961 in Newburgh, New York to the late Nyal E. and the late Therese A. (Preston) Palmer. He passed away in Blue Ash, Ohio on January 2nd, 2024. Being part of an Air Force family, Kevin grew up in multiple places before spending his teenage years in Beavercreek, Ohio. A 1979 graduate of Beavercreek High School, Kevin treasured the lifelong friendships he developed during that time.  Besides his children, Kevin was most proud of his service in the US Army from 1983 to 1987 where he served in Germany. He was medically discharged as a Sergeant. He then relocated to Cincinnati, where he worked for Compaq, Hewlett-Packard finally ended his career with Microsoft. 

He was involved in adaptive sports with the Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA) allowing him to travel the country on ski trips and golf tournaments. He was a diehard Bengals fan and had a new found passion for FC Cincinnati. Kevin loved to travel and was always looking forward to his next road trip in his Jeep. His bucket list goal was to visit all the National Parks. He enjoyed good wine, his dogs, and getting together with friends and family. 

He is survived by his daughter Shannon Palmer (Jamal Stephenson), his son Joshua Palmer (Felicia Gatz), and his grandchildren Lena Stephenson and Ashton Palmer. He is also survived by his siblings Diane (John) Harnden, Karen Palmer, and David (Pamela) Palmer, his nieces Julie (Dave) Lurie, Lisa (Justin) McPhillips, Katherine Palmer, Deanna Palmer and Amanda Asoda, his nephews Thomas Harnden and Christopher Palmer as well as 8 great nieces and nephews. 

A visitation with services to follow will be held on Saturday January 6th from 10-12pm at Hodapp Funeral Home 6410 Cincinnati Dayton Road Liberty Township, Ohio 45044.
