Kristy Ann Duckett, born Kristy Ann Gayhart to Wilkie and Arline Gayhart on December 25, 1961, in Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2025, in the city she always called home. She will be remembered as a kind, compassionate, and empathetic woman whose life was guided by love for her family.
Kristy found happiness in simple pleasures. She especially loved vacationing at the beach, with Destin, Florida holding a special place in her heart. She had a deep appreciation for humor and truly loved to laugh, particularly while enjoying stand-up comedy. She also enjoyed drawing, and finding peace in moments of creativity. More than anything, Kristy cherished being present for her grandchildren. She regularly attended school plays, sporting events, and family milestones, rarely missing an opportunity to support them. At the center of Kristy’s world was her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who expressed her love in steady and thoughtful ways.
Kristy is survived by her mother, Arline Gayhart; her sons Joshua and his wife Jennifer Stringer, Keith Stringer, Kyle and his wife Jennifer Stringer, and her stepdaughter Samantha Duckett; her husband, Michael Duckett, and former husband Marlon Stringer. She was a proud grandmother to Isabelle, Hannah, Isaac, Julian, Brianna, and Brooke, each of whom brought immense joy and meaning to her life.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wilkie Gayhart, and her sister, Cheryl Horne. Kristy is also remembered lovingly by her siblings Earl Brewster, Carolyn Coomes, Adele Bowen, and Maureen Fields, with whom she shared a lifetime of memories rooted in family and connection.
Those who knew Kristy will remember her gentle spirit and her warmth. Her legacy lives on in the family she loved so deeply, the moments she never missed, and the love that will continue to surround those she leaves behind.
