Laurel Lynn Marieve Smith-Fields

September 23 - August 12, 2026

Laurel unexpectedly passed away August 12th 2026 at UC Hospital West Chester. She was a devoted wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Above all she was a proud mother to her boys.

Laurel “Laur” was raised in Wyckoff, NJ before moving to West Chester, OH with her family. She was many things to many to many people and wore “multiple hats.” To the ones who loved her the most she was a faithful Christian, and an avid sports enthusiast. When she wasn't at the hockey rink, her favorite place was hosting family gatherings and celebrations with her family.

Laurel is survived by her father Russell, husband Derek, sons Brian, Bradley, Kyle, Kevin, Joshua, and Jonathan, daughter-in-laws Angie, and Deidra, grandchildren Gabby, and Jackson, sister Kimberly, and nephews Brandon, and Justin.

Laurel was reunited with her beloved son Brayden, mother Joan, and grandparents and great grandparents John, Bea, Russ, Amelia, and Joseph.

Laurel's celebration of life will be held Saturday August 29th 2026. Gathering from 9:30am until time of funeral service at 10am, all held at Royal Redeemer Lutheran Church, 7127 Dutchland Pkwy, Liberty Township, OH 45044. Please do not wear black, she loved bright and cheerful colors.
