LaVerne D. Schulte (nee Doty)

LaVerne June Schulte (formerly Smith, née Doty), was born October 2, 1929 and died February 12, 2026 after residing at Twin Towers, Cincinnati, OH for 10 years. She had 2 great loves in her life, Graham William Smith who died November 21, 1973 and Richard “Dick” Kenneth Schulte who died May 20, 2015. She was also preceded in death by her 3 sisters, Doris, Evelyn, and Jane and 2 brothers, John and Spencer.

She leaves behind son Graig William Smith (Jan) and daughter Carole Renee Smith (Marty), step-children Mike Schulte (Carol), Steve Schulte, Ken Schulte (Diann), and Rick Schulte; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Born and raised in Hamilton, OH she made friends easily and was known as fun loving, and beautiful. She lived in Fairfield and Forest Park while raising her children with Graham. Together, they brought them up to be strong and self-sufficient. When the children were grown, she retired to Florida and spent nearly 30 years with Dick enjoying tennis, long walks, playing bridge, and dining out. She also loved renewing her modeling career with publicity shots for their community as well as runaway shows for the Naples, FL Ritz-Carlton.

A private family service will be held at Arlington Memorial Gardens.
