Linda Edington passed away peacefully in her room in the early morning of Monday July 20, 2026. She was 87.

She is survived by her children from her first marriage to Richard Herrmann; Richard and Joyce Herrmann, Ronald and Sandra Herrmann, MaryLee Herrmann, Natalie Guggenheim, David Herrmann.

She is also survived by her grandchildren and great grandchildren; Courtney and Matthew Reinhold (Lillian and Chloe Reinhold), Paige and Daniel Tasi (Josephine and Ralph Tasi), Rachel Herrmann, Ricky Herrmann, Edward Guggenheim, Thomas Guggenheim

She is also survived by her siblings: Carol Wilkinson, Bruce and Sandy Bachman, Gretchen Keller, Elsalee Williamson, Stefan and Gayle Bachman, Beverly Bachman, Eric Bachman (deceased), Tina DeVault, Mark Bachman, Jenni Bachman, Lance Bachman.

As well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Linda was well loved by many and had a flair for making friends easily. She was always engaged with her friends and helping out wherever needed in regular times and times of crisis. Linda was also a great lover of art and fashion of all kinds. She was considered to be a great resource for home decorating and color advice as well as fashion advice. Her spaces always had a layered and complete décor with lots of color. She was always “put together” in her own fashion as well.

Linda had a latent talent for oil painting that she pursued in her middle years and created some very good still lifes and landscape paintings.

She was particularly proud of her time in the 1970’s working at Christ Hospital as a medical secretary for several well known physicians and surgeons. She kept relationships from that era of her life all the way through the rest of her life and remembered all of those connections fondly.

Her unencumbered attitude and positive energy drew people to her throughout her life. She will be missed by many.

Visitation will take place at Hodapp Home 7401 Vine St., Carthage, Monday, July 27th from 10:00AM until Funeral Service at 11:00AM. Internment will follow immediately after at St. Mary Cemetery, St. Bernard.
