Lois Curtin (nee Goeke)

Lois Goeke Curtin, 86, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, of natural causes. 

Lois was born on January 3, 1939 to Al and Marie Goeke in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Lois graduated from St. Ursula Academy, Cincinnati, Ohio in 1956. She went on to college and graduate with a BA degree in Nursing from The Mount Saint Joseph University in Cincinnati, Ohio. After graduating as a Registered Nurse, Lois began her Nursing career at The Good Samaritan Hospital of Cincinnati, Ohio. Through her career, she taught Nursing to other aspiring nursing students and was a highly respected Nurse and Director at several different Retirement and Alzheimer’s Communities. In the last chapter of her distinguished Nursing career, she cared for people in their homes as a Home Health Nurse for the City of Cincinnati, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her husband Peter J. Curtin and her first husband James C. Landon.

She is survived by her children from her first marriage: James Landon (Lisa), Mark Landon (Lisa), Cari Sanders (Ty), Margo Clasgens, Mary Proctor (Tom), Emily Smith (Jason), Eric Landon (Molly), and preceded by Lisa Lamping (Kris).

She is also survived by her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Brittany Smith (Kyle), Declan, Tinley, Alessia, Maizie, Lindsey Zuzich (John), Charlie, Annabelle, Jacob Landon, Collin Lamping (Montana), Sutton, Asher, Jenna Bowerman (John), Connor Lamping, Dustin Sanders (Chi), Hali Sanders, Vincent Clasgens, Abbie Trotter (Andrew), Jack Proctor, Jonah Smith, Elyn Smith, Emma Landon and Sarah Landon.

Services will be held on Saturday, May 31st, 2025 at 10:00 AM at The Church of Little Flower, 5560 Kirby Ave. Cincinnati, OH 45239

Internment of ashes immediately following at St. Joseph Cemetery, 3819 W 8th St., Cincinnati, OH 45205
