Louise Brown, a beacon of love and kindness, departed from this world on January 15th, 2026, at Bethesda North Hospital, surrounded by her adoring family. Born on December 16, 1936, in Owenton, Kentucky, Louise touched the lives of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

From an early age, Louise exemplified a spirit that was larger than life. She had a vibrant personality and never met a stranger; her warmth and infectious laughter drew people to her wherever she went.

Louise lived life in motion, always on the go and happiest when she was beside her beloved husband, Vernon. She treasured traveling together, especially the many trips to Kentucky, where her heart remained closely tied to family she loved dearly. In quieter moments, she found peace in tending her flowers, riding her bicycle, and creating with her hands through crocheting and sewing-simple joys that reflected her nurturing spirit and love for beauty, connection, and home. Deeply rooted in faith, Louise also cherished her church family, where she found fellowship, purpose, and the joy of serving and loving others.

As a matriarch of her family, Louise was immensely proud of her children—Jimmy (Lisa) Brown, Wade (Sue) Brown, William Brown, and Tina (Dave) Dunaway. Her legacy continued through her grandchildren, who adored her immensely: Zina Burchette, Christine (Wayne) Jackson, Jason Burton, AJ (Racheal) Sanders, Johnny Sanders, Kristina Patrick, Charlotte Sanders, Vernon "Bud" Brown, Timothy (Aaron) Brown, Danny (Jen) Brown, Juanita "Nikki" Brown, James Cotton, Peggy Sue Cotton, Michael Cotton, William Scheidt, James "Randy" Brown, Kayla Brown (Cleve), Izabel Brown, Tabatha (Justin) Jeakle, Dallas (Kae) Dunaway, Daven (Hayley) Dunaway, Denzel, Candace Adams, Gregory Adams, and Dylan Adams. Furthermore, her love expanded to her great-grandchildren, Malachi Burchett, Coleman (Izabella) Burchett, Cody Jackson, Jordan Jackson, Felecia Jackson, Cheyenne, Elijah Burton, Hunter Burton, Karson Sanders, Karley, Sanders, Kaden Sanders, Ricky, Iyanna, Myles, Julian, Gavin Brown, Hadden Brown, Waylon Brown, Abigail Brown, Mackenzie Ohmer, Steven Ohmer, Michael Brown, Kylee Brown, Kennadi Brown, Erin Brown, Kaden, Joe, Michael Wade Shriner, Christopher Shriner, Nicolas Shriner, Andrew, Emily, James Lee Cotton, Cameo Dawn, Misty Cotton Jones, Christy Sharp Howell, Taylor Cotton Lunce, Michael Cotton, Michelle Cotton, Reagan, Chase, Markus Scheidt, Jamaia Cheyenne Scheidt, Osiris Brown, Cleve Arnett V, Abel Arnett, Michael Arnett, Lacey Arnett, Jeffrey Jeakle , Thaddeus "TJ" Jeakle and Dazie Dunaway who brought her boundless joy, as well as 15 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry on her spirit.

Louise was fiercely protective and could stand up for what she believed in, teaching her family the importance of forgiveness and kindness. She made it her mission to instill in her children and grandchildren the values of faith, often gathering neighborhood children to take them to church—a testament to her loving nature and commitment to her family’s spiritual growth. Her dedication did not go unnoticed; she and Vernon often received awards for bringing the most children to church on special occasions like Mother's Day and Father's Day.

Sadly, Louise is preceded in death by her parents, Agee and Mamie Tingle, her brothers Raymond and Harold Tingle, her son Jimmy Brown, her daughters-in-law Tammy Brown and Diane Brown, great-granddaughter BreAnna Jackson, and her sister-in-law Margaret Tingle.

With hearts full of gratitude, the family lovingly recognizes Dorothy Tipton, Louise's cherished sister-in-law, whose presence, love and unwavering support meant more to Louise than words can express. We also extend heartfelt appreciation to Louise's sisters-and brothers-in law, nieces, and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart and were dearly loved. A special acknowledgement is also given to Sheila Adams, who was like family and brought comfort, and love into Louise's life. Louise's deep affection for the people of Highpoint, was equally profound-a community that embraced her as family and gave her a lifelong sense of belonging and home.

Though she is no longer with us, Louise Brown leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and generous spirit that will forever resonate in the hearts of all who knew her. Her journey may have ended, but her light will continue to shine brightly, guiding her loved ones in the days to come.
