Marcia Kay Bowers Searcy

Marcia Kay Bowers (Searcy), loving Mother of Julia (Jeff) Bozarth, Terri Faller, and Brad (Carol) Searcy, took flight in her final destination of Heaven on 11/19/19. Born in 1938 in Kokomo, IN, to Alfred Chester (Chet) and Ina Bowers, she is survived by her children, grandchildren Katie, Michael, Alan, Cindy, Haley, Blake, great-grandchildren Maggie and Lenora, and beloved dogs Carmela and Billy.

A viewing will be held Saturday, November 23 from 10-11 a.m at Hodapp Funeral Home, 8815 Cincinnati-Columbus Rd., West Chester, OH.

Marcia’s greatest passion was to walk faithfully with Jesus, and her family was her number one priority. She wished to be a social worker, but as a single parent, she provided by working various secretarial jobs, at The Farm Bureau Co-Op, Indiana National Bank, Administrative Assistant to UMC Bishop Woodie White; and Sun City Summerlin Las Vegas. She moved to be near her family, and lived in Indiana; Las Vegas; Ivins, UT; Fair Haven, VT; San Antonio; Gastonia, NC; and West Chester, OH. She loved traveling, road trips, dogs, trees, music, Native American culture, her wonderful friends, and meeting new friends of every background. Her smile, warmth, wit, and humility will be greatly missed, but her love will endure through eternity.
