Appel, Margarete (nee Wagner), beloved wife of the late Jack A. Appel, devoted mother of Karen (Dennis) Schuette, Marianne Appel, Richard Appel, Donald (Maureen) Appel, Kristen (Steve) Witzman and Jeffery (Jacqui) Appel, loving grandmother of Amy (Jeff) Eisenhuth, Erin Appel, Brad (Jesse) Witzman, Karle (Brandi) Goins, Hillary Appel, Alec (Olivia) Appel, Aaron Appel, Nicole Appel and Brianna Appel, caring great grandmother to Calee, Jack, Henry, Mara and Oliver, dear sister of Fred (Elvira) Wagner. Preceded in death by her sister Renate (Hans) Schneider and her parents Friedrich and Katharine Wagner. Passed away May 7, 2025, at the age of 98. Visitation will be held Monday, May 12, 2025, at Hodapp Funeral Home 8815 Cincinnati-Columbus Rd. (Rt. 42) West Chester, OH 45069 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Committal service at Gate of Heaven Cemetery Tuesday at 11 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
