Marilyn Kay McGarvey

Beloved wife of Robert ‘Bob’ Matthew McGarvey. Loving mother of Todd P McGarvey, Jeff M McGarvey (wife Beth A McGarvey), Susan Justice (Nee McGarvey; Husband Bill Justice). Dear Grandmother of Maddie M Sharpe (Nee McGarvey; Husband Tanner Sharpe), Lauren E McGarvey, Rachel L McGarvey, Will M Justice, Lindsay D Justice, Caitlin L Shepherd (nee McGarvey Husband Alex Shepherd), Holly E McGarvey, Samuel J McGarvey, and predeceased by her grandson John M McGarvey. Dear Great Grandmother of Truett R Sharpe. Cherished sister of the late Bob Lindsay (Shirley) and Don Lindsay (Doreen). Daughter of the late Robert Edgar Lindsay and Wilda Elizabeth Lindsay (nee Fritch). Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends.

Marilyn married her longtime sweetheart Bob while he was finishing school. Marilyn worked in the Operating Room as a Registered Nurse as she began her family. She went on to raise three children as a loving mother and wife as they traveled to new homes across the country making livelong friends along the way. With kids grown, Marilyn emerged as an Interior Designer as her second career sharing her skill and eye for making houses into loving homes with clients and friends. Marilyn and Bob settled in Cincinnati and enjoyed their retirement together traveling and spending time with dear friends in their community golfing and having fun at Keeneland, the Bourbon Trail, and many other fun adventures. Marilyn will be most remembered for her passion and priority in loving family and friends deeply – this was the true center of her life.

A Memorial Visitation will be held at Faith United Methodist Church, 8230 Cox Rd, West Chester Township, OH 45069 on Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 10 am until time of the Funeral Service at 12 Noon.

Memorial Donations are welcome in place of flowers to the Alzheimer’s Association.
