Cincinnati, OH - WEILER, Mark R., age 69, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2026.
Mark is survived by his wife, Mary Ann (née Soule) Weiler; daughter Leigh Anne (Stephen) Apke; son Bradley Weiler; daughter Melissa (Ryan) McDonald; five grandchildren, Ethan, Jacob, Daniel, Parker, and Gavin; and his sister, Sally Weiler. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Russell H. Weiler and Mary M. (née Brinkmann) Weiler, and his sister, Lisa Weiler.
Born on January 12, 1957, Mark grew up on the West Side of Cincinnati. He attended Our Lady of Lourdes, Dater, and Western Hills High School (WHHS), where he was a star student-athlete, playing on the basketball and baseball teams. In 1975, Mark was awarded Outstanding Boy at WHHS for outstanding performance in athletics. He attended Xavier University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
He was a lifelong fan of the Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals, and Xavier basketball. Mark enjoyed sharing his love of sports with his family, friends, and the community. Over the years, Mark coached 36 youth sports teams.
After retirement, Mark and his wife, Mary Ann, traveled across the United States, visiting many national parks. His favorite trips were to Alaska, Glacier National Park, and Rocky Mountain National Park. He found great joy in watching his grandchildren participate in their favorite activities, including sports, marching band, and dance.
Mark was an incredible husband, dad, and grandpa and will be remembered for his strong family values, humor, and protective nature.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, September 8, at the Hodapp Funeral Home in West Chester, located at 8815 Cincinnati Columbus Rd., from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 9, at St. Susanna Church at 10:30 a.m., followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Xavier University or the National Parks Foundation.
