Michael D. Wesley

May 31, 1958 — January 3, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Michael David Wesley, who left us peacefully on January 3, 2026, at the age of 67. Michael's remarkable journey began on May 31, 1958, and he spent his life inspiring those around him with his indomitable spirit and unwavering determination.

Michael was an amazing individual. After a devastating accident, doctors informed his family that he would not walk or talk again. However, Michael proved them wrong in the most astounding way. With sheer will and a resilience that mirrored the strength inherited from his beloved parents, James David Wesley and Margaret Patricia Wesley, he overcame every challenge thrown his way. He learned to talk, ride a bike, roller skate, and even bowl, proving that limitations can often be eclipsed by a heart full of hope. Michael also completed in the Special Olympics for Warren County.

Throughout his life, Michael faced many health obstacles, including seizures and twice undergoing surgeries for a pacemaker. He spent countless hours in the hospital but never complained. Most often, he wore a smile that could brighten the darkest of days, a testament to his positive outlook on life. His joy was infectious, and he cherished the moments spent with his family, friends, and the staff in the WCDD program.

Michael had an array of hobbies that brought him great joy. He loved working on puzzles, looking through magazines, and taking leisurely walks through his neighborhoods. Whether it was swimming, showcasing his skills in cornhole, shooting basketball in his driveway and pool, or engaging in friendly competition with card games like Go Fish, Old Maid, and War, Michael embraced every moment with enthusiasm. He also adored the game Connect Four and had an undeniable sweet tooth for Reese Cups. Michael also had a love for the Cincinnati Reds and attending Reds Fest on an annually.

He is survived by his loving siblings, Lori (Mike) Bauer, Tracy (Melven) Williams, and Todd Wesley, who will forever cherish his memory and carry his spirit in their hearts.

Michael is reunited with his dear parents, who are undoubtedly watching over him with pride and love. As we gather to honor his life, we invite friends and family to join us for visitation on January 13, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service beginning at 12:00 PM at Hodapp Funeral Homes in West Chester, Ohio.
