Michelle Koehlke (nee Kumfer), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and tennis lady passed away peacefully at her West Chester home from a complication with pancreatic cancer. She was 59.
Michelle was born in 1965 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. She attended Most Precious Blood elementary school, Bishop Dwenger High School, and studied Accounting at Manchester University, but earned her degree and graduated from the University of St. Francis. She met her husband Thomas while attending Manchester; they were married in 1988.
Michelle was the loving mother of Adam, Sarah, Michael, Ryan and Mother-in-law to Kaitlyn (Adam), and Kristen (Ryan), and Grandmother to Adam's and Kaitlyn's beautiful kids Riley (8) and Elan (5). She is survived by her sister Lori, many aunts, uncles, and cousins, especially Terry and Kevin Arnold of Ft. Wayne.
Michelle's life was rooted in faith and family; she absolutely loved being pregnant and rearing her children. As the kids grew older and her daily responsibilities subsided, she decided to start playing tennis. She learned the sport well becoming one of the best doubles players in Cincinnati winning many city championships with her tennis lady friends out of Queen City Racquet Club. If that was not enough, her husband beckoned to help with the family business. She happily accepted the challenge as our Accounting and Human Resources Manager. The pancreatic cancer diagnosis hit hard on 2/13/2025. She showed great strength going through surgery and treatments, but they did not work. The cancer was back by early August 2025. Her love will live in all the people she touched, and she will be deeply missed for a long long time.
