Mildred B. White

Mildred B. White, beloved wife of the late Frederick M. White, loving mother of Cheryl (James) Schaeffner and Carolyn (Michael) Slaughter, passed away November 15, 2013 at the age of 93. Survived by 2 grandchildren, Kristen (Brendan) Leavitt and Jonathan (Stacy) Slaughter, 2 step grandchildren, Ryan and Erin Buckley, and 4 great grandchildren, Elisabeth and Anna Leavitt, and Addison and Luke Slaughter. Born in Decatur, Ill., Mildred was a graduate of Olivet University and earned a master’s degree from Xavier University. She had an influential teaching career in Illinois, Nebraska, and Northwest School District in Cincinnati. As a lifelong follower of Jesus, she left a significant legacy in her family, church and community, and will be greatly missed by those whom she loved and influenced. Memorial service will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 26, at College Hill Presbyterian Church.
