Age 90, of West Chester, OH, passed away on May 19, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Benny Anderson. Loving mother of Karen Anderson, Darlene Suggs (Joel), Eric Anderson (Ruth). Adoring grandmother to Taylor Suggs (Maddie), Abbie Lambrecht (Tommy), Ellie Suggs, Kirby Anderson, Casey Anderson, & Cody Anderson (Talia). Brand new great-grandmother of Sophie. Sister of John & Dan (Sue). Others for whom she was a second mother include Jonathan, Rosita, Virginia & Karen B. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbors & friends.
Predeceased by her parents (Frank & Alice Jones), her sons (Ted & Matt), and her brothers (Bill & Dave).
While she enjoyed being a wife to the only man she ever loved, a mother, & a nursery schoolteacher, her favorite role was that of grandmother to the six “Cousins.” Sue-Sue’s “Cousins’ Days” and sleepovers remain legendary, especially with breakfasts of jellybean pancakes & hours spent pouring over her famous photo albums. She was the keeper of family “treasures,” memories, & schedules from every generation. She loved her home, yard, pets, music, reading & staying informed. She had an unwavering belief in “the underdog.” She set an example of Inclusivity and Acceptance during her lifetime and lived these principles through taking in foster children, adopting homeless animals, teaching adults to read, and writing to incarcerated prisoners through Lakeview Church of Christ’s Prison Ministry program.
A Celebration of Life Open House will take place on Thursday June 4th from 6pm - 8pm, with a time of Memory Sharing at 7pm. This will take place in Hawks Hall at West Chester Nazarene Church at 7951 Tylersville Road, West Chester, Ohio 45069.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to SPCA (11900 Conrey Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45249) in the name of Sparky Anderson, her late beloved dog.
