Nancy Urbaetis

July 26, 1939 — May 20, 2026

Nancy Ann Urbaetis, 87, of Mason, Ohio, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2026. She is survived by her devoted husband of more than 60 years, Martin Urbaetis; her brother, Robert Ebner (Lynn); her sister, Mary Ellen Hall (Rich); her daughter Sharon Beck (Stephen) and their children Joseph, Samantha and Stevie; and her son Eric Urbaetis (Lisa) and their children Alison Nance (Samuel), Sloane (great-granddaughter), and Nicholaus Urbaetis (Neha).

Nancy lived a rich, generous life defined by kindness, faith, and a deep love for family and friends. She welcomed everyone to her table and made the holidays unforgettable with the finest meals and warm hospitality. Quiet, prayerful, and thoughtful, she offered gentle words of wisdom, a listening ear, and steady support through life’s joys and challenges. Her favorite sayings — “This too shall pass” and “Life is for the living” — reflected her faith, resilience, and belief in embracing each day.

She loved her Irish Catholic roots and had a lively sense of humor. Nancy enjoyed travel, fishing trips with Marty and family, vacations with close friends, and many adventures that created lasting memories. A gifted seamstress and a champion bowler, she met Marty while working at G.E., where she was known as one of the fastest, most accurate typists of her time. Nancy volunteered her time whenever her children or grandchildren needed her and always put others’ needs before her own.

The last few years brought medical challenges, yet Nancy faced them with courage and continued to work toward getting better. Her humble, gentle presence will be deeply missed; her quiet example of love, kindness, and true friendship will continue to inspire those who knew her. We take comfort in knowing her suffering has ended and that her spirit has become a powerful, loving presence in Heaven.
