Obituary

Nina Jay Moehring, a cherished resident of Pisgah, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Charles Moehring, their infant son, Thomas Phillip, and her son-in-law, Brian Hardig.

Nina was the loving mother of Patricia (Daniel) Hunter, Charles (Gretchen) Moehring, Janet (Brian) Hardig, Margaret (Robert) Kopp, and Larry (Marsha) Moehring. She was the cherished grandmother of Jonathan (Jodi) Denyszyn, Matthew (Maureen) Denyszyn, Alison (Brandon) Morrison, Olivia Lightfoot, Lucas Kopp, Katelyn Kopp, Angela (David) Buschmann, and Jennifer (Adam) Schmidt. As a dear great-grandmother, she was adored by Eleanor Denyszyn, Robert Denyszyn, Juliet Morrison, Brody Buschmann, Audrey Buschmann, Charlie Schmidt, and Scarlett Schmidt.

Throughout her 98 years, Nina witnessed tremendous changes, particularly in technology. She embraced the digital age, mastering the computer and iPad with ease. Connecting with friends and family through Facebook brought her joy. Avid in her love for reading, she often completed three books a week and was a daily solver of crossword puzzles. Her adventurous spirit led her to travel extensively across the United States and Europe, culminating in a memorable trip to Japan where she enjoyed a ride on the bullet train.

Nina was a confidant, sounding board, and rock for her family. She will be deeply missed.
