Pamela Bossard

Pamela “Pam” Bossard

Passed away on September 16th, 2022, surrounded by her husband and children. She was 67. Born in Bethesda, MD, into a military family, she was raised in several foreign duty station assignments before settling with her mother and step father in Escondido, CA. As well, Pam joined the US Army after high school graduation. She served as a communications specialist at Ft. Huachuca, AZ. Pam had a green thumb and took great pride in tending to her vast garden. Flowering plants were her specialty, both indoor and outdoor. She was a California girl at heart and loved her tropical plants that her loving husband diligently moved indoors every winter to protect them from the harsh Ohio cold. Her garden attracted all sorts of wildlife and she thoroughly enjoyed watching the hummingbirds feast on her flowers and her feeders. Pam loved taking road trips to pay visits to her far-flung family. Her granddaughters were her pride and joy and she looked forward to summer visits so she could take them to various summer camps. Hawaii was a special place for Pam and Bill sparking her lifelong love for humpback whales. She was well-known in her family for her experimental recipes that could not be duplicated, even by her at times. She was patriotic and had a deep love for her country. She will be remembered with fondness for her vibrant and colorful personality and wicked sense of humor. Pam loved to crochet for her family and especially loved creating treasures for her granddaughters (and granddogs, too!).

Pam is preceded in death by her parents Marion Barker and Ada Lee (William) Lewis. She is survived by her husband, William Bossard, of Liberty Twp., OH; her children, Jayson (Kristina) Rickard of Mountain Green, UT, Alanna Pettersen of Kingston, PA; her step-children Jennifer (Jeff) Pelletier of Columbus, OH, and Steven (Jamie) Bossard of Portland, OR; her granddaughters, Gwenyth and Addison Rickard of Mountain Green, UT, and Juliette Pettersen of Kingston, PA; her siblings, James (Lesley) Lewis of Frisco, TX, and William Lewis of Fairfield, CA. She is also survived by three nieces and a nephew.
