Patricia Ann Weedman left this world peacefully on March 4, 2024. Pat was born on September 17, 1940. She was born to Llyod (Ben) and Mary Puckett. Pat was a smart and responsible young woman, often charged with the care of her younger siblings. She was intelligent and hard working. She graduated second in her class, missing out on the top spot because she was a girl. Fighting against gender stereotypes would be a theme all through her life. She was a hard worker and tough. She rose from waiting tables to managing the books at a car repair shop. She went on to get her real estate license, and would manage a Brownberry thrift store, which would be the open door she would use to really show her potential. She would eventually end up a division sales manager for Best Foods Baking Group. She was respected in the industry and even got to throw out the first pitch at a Reds’ Game at her retirement party at Great American Ballpark. She pushed Mr Red off the plate with a curve ball low and inside.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. As a single mom she would walk miles to work in the dark to support her two boys. Pat faced many challenges in her life, and she more than overcame them with a quiet and tough disposition.
She loved to read, knit, and her UK Basketball team. She may or may not have had a problem with Mahjong.
Pat was many things, successful in business, loving with family, and devoted as a friend. It would be her toughness that would be displayed in her latter life. Displayed as she cared for her son Tim before his death, and in the struggles she overcame with her own health. In the past decade she has survived strokes, breaking nearly every bone in her body at some point even her neck. Still she battled back from each set back. The battle became too great and her body to worn out. Now she rests in peace.
She was a woman of faith, taking her family to church, and even being a guiding force behind her son Mark entering the ministry.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd (aka Ben) Puckett and Mary Puckett (nee Bailey). Sister Shirley Shipley (Walter) and her son Timothy Gregory (Michelle).
She is survived by her loving husband Ken and son Mark Gregory (Diana). Brothers Bill (Carolyn) Puckett, John (Kathy) Puckett, and sister Sharon (Vic) Mosbacker. She is also survived by her grand children Sami James (Max), Carly Resendez (Jason), Haley Guerra (Alex), Emily Walls, Tim Gregory, and Ross Gregory. Great grand children Amelia, Alazáe, Caroline, Braylen and Auden . Beloved dog Izzy. She is also survived by many other family and friends.
Pat will be missed, however her legacy of hard work, overcoming challenges, being a good person lives with all who were blessed to know her.
