Patrick J. Murphy

On February 5, 2023, Patrick Murphy passed away. He is survived by his beloved daughter Kyla and her mother Ashley, his parents Jim and Janet Murphy, his brothers Michael (Janet Li) Murphy and Daniel (Nicole) Murphy, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, niece and nephews.  

Patrick never went anywhere where he didn’t run into an old friend and pick up a new one. Over his 41 years on this planet, through St. Susanna, Moeller, UC, his soccer teams, and his professional career, he amassed hundreds of friends and cherished his relationship with each and every one of them. He was very proud of the lifelong friendships he forged, and he loved bringing people together. 

To paraphrase the words of his best friend Tom Luther, Patrick was the life of the party at all times and knew virtually everyone in Cincinnati. And he loved all of you, even if he barely knew you. 

Patrick loved being around friends and family, the beach, and his spring colored aesthetic. Most of all, he loved his daughter Kyla. 

Patrick will be remembered for his smile, his energy, and his charisma, and probably also for his inappropriate jokes, his long and impassioned conversations, and for sometimes carrying on a little too loudly.
