Richard “Rid” Jude Bottenhorn, age 66, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on July 10th, 2026. He was born on July 30, 1959 to Patricia Eileen (nee Frayne) and Frank Joseph Bottenhorn III. 

Rid will be remembered for his kind heart, hard work ethic and sense of humor. He loved his family, being at the lake, and found joy in building. He took pride in creating things that would last and could fix any problem he came across.

Rid is survived by his daughters: Mary Jane (Luis)  Medina, Holly (Tom) Schindler, and Tricia Harmon (Luke Shields); his siblings: Pat E (Steve) Porowski, Dee Stehlin, Bo (Laura) Bottenhorn, John (Julie) Bottenhorn, Sue (Paul) Young, as well as, many nieces and nephews. Rid was a grandfather to Roman, Kenzie, Mason Medina & Quinn Schindler. He is also survived by his companion, Pam Seitz, and his former wife, Patty (Rick) Harmon. 

Funeral services will take place Friday, July 24th at 11:00 AM at the Presbyterian Church of Wyoming. Reception to follow.
