Cincinnati, OH

Rita Sue Dunham, a beloved wife, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, in Mason, Ohio. Born on August 29, 1946, in Walltown, Kentucky, Rita’s life was a testament to faith, family, and unwavering kindness. Her presence touched the hearts of all who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, and cherished memories.

Rita devoted her entire career to Procter and Gamble, where she was known for her dedication and work ethic. Beyond her professional life, she was a faithful Christian woman who found joy and purpose in serving others, volunteering for decades at Lockland Christian Church. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, providing strength and guidance to those fortunate enough to call her a friend.

She was an avid bowler and golfer, with enthusiasm that extended to her love for UK Basketball and the Cincinnati Reds — passions she celebrated alongside family and friends. Rita was also a master of puzzles, having completed hundreds with patience and determination. Many will remember fondly her joy in making Christmas cookies, attending Reds games, and organizing UK Basketball trips under the banner of “Cattrackers,” bringing loved ones together to create lasting memories. She was also an active member of the Red Hat Society for many years.

Rita treasured hosting family gatherings, where laughter and warmth filled the air. She is survived by her devoted husband of over 54 years, Lloyd Dunham; her sisters, Carol Butts and Becky Anderson; her nephew Troy Maynus (Lisa), niece Jayna Ratliff (Bryan) and nephews Jason Richardson (Lora) and Jerry Wall (Dianna); as well as great nieces Lauren Maynus, Madison Ratliff, Mallory Ratliff, and great nephew Asher Richardson. Many other nieces and nephews make up her loving family. Their love and support comfort her legacy and keep her spirit alive.

Her family remembers with sorrow the loss of her parents, Jack and Eva Wall, and siblings Mae Dell, Marvin, Agnes, Arnold, Arlis, Lowell, Hollis, Merle Gene and Bobby.

Visitation to honor Rita’s life will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Hodapp Funeral Home - Carthage in Cincinnati, Ohio.
