SCHWARTZ, Rita (nee Effler), beloved wife of the late Herbert Schwartz, loving mother of Dave (Sandy), Jim (Robin) and the late Herb Jr. and Maria Schwartz, dear grandmother of Marty (Andrea), Brad (Molly), Andy (Abigail) and Megan Schwartz, Jamie (Kristi), Beth (Alex) Ewing, Rob and Chris Schwartz, great-grandmother of 8, dear sister of Bill (Dorothy) Effler, Cent (the late Albert) Rahn and the late Fr. Roy Effler, OFM. Rita was co-founder of Schwartz Jewelers in College Hill. Sunday, November 13, 2011, age 96. No visitation. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Clare Church, 1443 Cedar Ave., College Hill, Thursday at 7 p.m. with reception following in the church basement. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Clare Church, St. Xavier High School or Tender Mercies.
