Robert J. Klocke, lovingly known as Bob, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2026, leaving behind a collage of cherished memories that will continue to warm the hearts of all who knew him. Born on November 3, 1945, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Bob’s life was a journey marked by laughter, curiosity, steadfast love, and a deep sense of connection to family, friends, and community.
From his childhood days in College Hill, Bob’s playful spirit began to shine. Those who knew him best recall his energy, the wit that shaped his conversations, and the way he was always ready with a joke or a playful trick. His good-humored mischief brought joy to family gatherings, making him the life of every room and leaving lasting stories that will be retold for generations.
Bob’s commitment to personal growth led him to Xavier University, where he earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees. His education laid the foundation for a long and fulfilling career spent at General Electric, Compuware, and Cincinnati Financial.
Outside of work, Bob found profound joy in his favorite pastimes, many of which centered on community and connection. He enjoyed the camaraderie of pickleball matches at the Colerain Senior Center. Bob’s zest for life and new experiences propelled him across the world. Traveling offered him countless opportunities to explore new cities and sights. Each Saturday evening brought the tradition of card night, where Bob, with his trademark mischievous grin, played phase 10 with friends and family. Always willing to give back, Bob spent time volunteering at Hyde Park Elementary School, contributing his wisdom, patience, and humor to the younger generation.
A lifelong lover of the arts, Bob was a familiar face at Playhouse in the Park, holding season tickets for over 50 years. Each performance served not only as entertainment but to his appreciation for storytelling and the craftsmanship of local theater.
At the core of Bob’s world was his beloved family. The laughter, support, and sense of unity he fostered within his family circle were among his greatest gifts. He is survived by his devoted daughter, Tricia Klocke, and his son-in-law, Brian Hallman; his loving son, Mike Klocke, and daughter-in-law, Andrea Klocke; his cherished granddaughters, Sophia and Anna Klocke and grandson Noah Jackson. The ties of siblinghood run deep in the Klocke family, and Bob’s memory will be carried forward by his sister, Christina Klocke; brothers, Henry, Donald and Dale Klocke; and sisters-in-law Dee, Casey, and Jackie Klocke. Every one of these loved ones carries a different story, a different joke, a different moment that renders Bob unforgettable.
In gentle remembrance, we honor the family members Bob now joins in rest: his loving wife, Fran Klocke; his brother Marinus Klocke, sister-in-law Sandy Klocke; his parents Henry and Hilda Klocke.
The legacy of Robert J. “Bob” Klocke will remain alive in the hearts of all who were privileged to know him, and his memory will endure as a source of comfort, inspiration, and love.
