Robert (Bob) Wurster passed away peacefully at home at the of age 86 on September 22nd. Beloved husband for more than 61 years to Suzann Wurster (nee Stark). Loving father of Gayle (Bob) Huser, Brian (Michelle) Wurster, Pam (Doug) Catron and Karen (Andy) Terry. Cherished grandfather of Lauren (Nick)Bezanson, Nicole (Evan) Tomko, Sarah (Conner) Reynolds, Amanda Huser, Rachel Catron, Hunter Wurster, Audree Terry, Aidan Terry. Devoted great-grandfather of Evelyn Bezanson.
Bob proudly served his country in the Navy from 1956–1960.
Bob began his career at Procter & Gamble in 1960 and worked at Ivorydale Food Products for 35 years in thepurchasing/accounting department. After a period of time he decided to go back to work and started working part-time at Wal-Mart for 17 years in the deli department.
Bob was passionate and knowledgeable about following all types of sports, especially the Cincinnati Reds. Bob loved doing the Jumbo puzzle in the Cincinnati Enquirer, he also enjoyed reading books every day. Bob along with his wife spent 10 years learning and travelling for duplicate bridge, they wentfor tournaments in OH, TN and KY to earn their gold and silver points to achieve life master status in 2006.
In the last 3 years living at Traditions @ Camargo, Bob loved to play bridge, bingo and going on outings once a month on the Traditions bus. Most of all he enjoyed being with his children and grandchildren.
Visitation will take place at St. Vincent Ferrer Church 7754 Montgomery Rd., Kenwood, Wednesday, October 2nd from 10AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM. Condolences to hodappfuneralhome.com
