Ronald W. Easterday, born on October 31, 1946, passed away on August 8, 2026, leaving behind a legacy marked by devotion to family, remarkable service, and dedicated professional achievement.
Ronald’s early years were shaped by the guidance of his late parents, Lloyd and Mildred Easterday. From these roots, he grew into a man whose actions spoke of integrity and commitment both in his personal and professional endeavors.
A proud veteran, Ronald served honorably in the United States Army as a combat veteran of Vietnam. The sacrifices and commitments he made during his service embodied the words of John 15:13: "Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends."
After returning home, Ronald tirelessly applied himself to his professional career. He achieved significant success, holding the position of Vice President at John Morrell/Smithfield before retiring in 2010. His leadership and work ethic left a lasting impression on colleagues and the industry alike. In his retirement he enjoyed working at Ace Hardware.
On March 5, 1966, Ronald married Julie, beginning a union that would span decades and provide strength and companionship through all of life’s chapters. Together they raised their family and built a foundation rooted in love and mutual support. Ronald is survived by his wife, Julie Easterday, whose steadfast partnership was a cornerstone of his life.
Ronald’s memory is cherished by his sons, Ronald (Blasa), Darin, and Ryan (Jen). The family honors the memory of his son, Timothy, who preceded him in death.
Throughout his life, Ronald pursued his passions wholeheartedly. He was a true enthusiast of the open road, cherishing the many trips he made across the country on his Harley Davidson, including travels along Route 66 and an impressive tradition of 25 years journeying to Sturgis, South Dakota. In quieter moments, Ronald found fulfillment in reading and fly fishing, often in the company of friends, cultivating bonds that endured over time.
Friends, family, and all whose lives were touched by Ronald are invited to attend services celebrating his life. Visitation will be held on August 14, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Abiding Word Evangelical Lutheran Church, 8470 Landen Dr, Maineville, OH 45039.
