Rose Marie Biederman (nee Butz)

Rose Marie Biederman (formerly Thamann, nee Butz), Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on November 10, 2025, at the age of 97. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth Thamann (1958) and by her second husband, Ralph Biederman (2008). She is survived by her children: Ken Thamann, Barbara Thamann, Suzanne (Mike) Murphy, and Mark (Katy) Thamann, Martha Biederman, and Ruth Biederman. She was preceded in death by her son, Tom Thamann (1969). She had 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.

Rose graduated from Our Lady of Angels High School and had looked forward to celebrating the 100-year anniversary of OLA and Roger Bacon along with her own 100th birthday. She loved to travel and keep up with what her grandchildren and great grandchildren were up to. Rose had an adventurous spirit: climbing the Purple People Bridge back in 2006, going up in a hot air balloon for her 80th birthday, and flying in a biplane in Benton, Kansas when she was 84! She remained grounded in her faith with prayer books and her rosary nearby.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 9am at St. Vivian Catholic Church, 7600 Winton Road, Cincinnati, Ohio followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10am. Condolences at hodappfuneralhome.com
