Rosemary (Egan) Huey of Cincinnati, OH, age 95, passed into eternal life peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on June 25, 2025. She was raised in Ft Mitchell, KY and graduated from Beechwood High School. After marrying Eugene in 1951 she spent the rest of her life in the home they built together & filled it with love, music & laughter.
She was the beloved wife of the late Eugene Huey and a devoted mother to Jerry (Linda), Tim (Leslie), Jay (Nancy), Lisa, Eric, Gina, and Patty (Mike) Hinnenkamp. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren & 25 great grandchildren, who were the joy of her life. Rosemary is survived by her sister, Jean; brother George (Mary); sister-in-law Mary; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene; brother-in-law, Norman, baby John, brother, Tom (Nancy), and daughter-in-law, Rita.
Proud of her Irish heritage, Rosemary lived a life filled with music, humor & generosity. A talented pianist, she played for her high school glee club and continued playing throughout her life. She had a beautiful voice and was a member of St James Choir for many years.
Later in life, Rosemary returned to school to earn her cosmetology license. She enjoyed styling her family members’ hair and graciously offered her services to friends who were confined to their home. Rosemary was generous in sharing her time, conversation & constant encouragement with others. She loved to shop, travel & care for animals, especially her dog, Ginger. Her sense of humor was sharp to the end.
Her family & friends will remember her great strength, humility, and constant positive attitude as well as her unconditional love. She touched the lives of countless individuals during her lifetime. Her sweet presence will be missed by all her family and loved ones.
In celebration of a wonderful life, family & friends will gather for a Mass of Christian Burial at St James Church, 3565 Hubble Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45247, on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at 10:30am.
