Ruby Ellen Trew
October 2, 1928 — July 1, 2022
Ruby Ellen Trew, 93, died peacefully on July 1st with her family by her side. Ruby was born on October 2, 1928 in Mt. Victory, KY. to Charles Hamblin and Laura Bell Tompkins and was the youngest of their 15 children.
She was a lifetime member of the Gold Wing Road Riders of America (GWRRA) and enjoyed decades of riding with her husband, friends, and grandson. She has ridden a motorcycle in all 50 states and was very proud to share that experience. She had a passion for flowers and gardening and passed that passion on to many in her family. Her greatest love in life was always her family.
Ruby was preceded in death by husband of 52 years, Charles Trew, parents Charles and Laura Bell
Tompkins, and all of her siblings. She is survived by son David (Delia) Louden, daughter Doris (Mike)
Koop, grandson Richard Louden and family, grandson Clifford (Jennifer) Louden, grandson Phil Louden, grandson Michael Koop Jr, and granddaughter Kimberly (Kevin) Bryson.
A very special thank you to Margaret Mary Hospice of Batesville for their wonderful care and kindness to Ruby and her family.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022, from 11:00am at Hodapp Funeral Home, 8815 Cincinnati-Columbus Rd, West Chester Twp, OH 45069, until time of service beginning at 12:30pm. Family and friends are welcome to join to celebrate and honor her life.
