Sandra Mae Greis

Sandra M. Greis of Wester Chester, OH passed away on June 24, 2025 at the age of 83 when she succumbed to complications related to Alzheimer’s disease, a battle she faced with grace and strength for many years. Sandy was a beloved mother, grandmother, and nurse who spent her life helping others. She is preceded in death by her husband, David C. Greis and her parents Juanita (Littler) Nolan and Theodore Littler and stepfather Robert Nolan.

Sandy was a registered nurse who worked in several care facilities during her career and ultimately retired from Bethesda North Hospital. She loved gardening, reading and sports especially football, baseball and soccer. Sandy did a lot of volunteer work and was very involved in her churches (West Chester Presbyterian and Faith United Methodist). She was instrumental in the start-up of Reach Out Lakota and while raising her 4 children was heavily involved with the SAY Soccer program (West Chester Soccer Club) where she spent countless hours each Spring and Fall scheduling referees for the games.

Sandy is survived by her brother Larry (Ruth) Littler of Ft. Wayne, IN and her four children, Laura (Dave) Maushart, Jenny (Dan) Lockard, Katie (Brian) Woodruff and Dan Greis.

Grandchildren: Jaclyn Stoner, Evan Maushart, Colin Lockard, Josh Woodruff, Rachel Hull, Hannah Eldridge, Tiyanna Wall, Kiyanna Woodruff, Luke Woodruff, Laney Woodruff and 2 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Hodapp Funeral Home 8815 Cincinnati-Columbus Rd. (Rt. 42) West Chester, OH 45069 from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m.

The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association or a favorite charity in Sandy’s name.
