Sandra L. Hill

Sandra L. Hill, beloved wife of the late William E. Hill. Devoted mother of Julie (Lewis) Whitney (Dan) and cherished grandmother of Conner Phillippi (Kate) (Austin, TX), and step-grandchildren Lauren (Kevin) Hodges (Franklin, TN) Daniel Whitney, Jr., (Los Angeles, CA) and Anna (Trent) Thorsen (Dallas, TX). In addition to her late husband, she was preceded in death by her father Charles Hutchings, mother Christine Hutchings Downing and her brother Jean Hutchings.

Passed away June 23, 2025 at the age of 90 years old.

Born in Mechanicsburg, Ohio, Sandie attended the Ohio State University where she was a member of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority and served on the 1954 Homecoming Court. She taught in the Hamilton County Head Start Program Norwood location for 25 years, until her retirement in 1995, and continued to substitute teach for many years thereafter. Sandie always had a smile and a joke for everyone that she ever met, loved listening to and dancing to jazz music, was a huge animal lover and supported dozens of rescue organizations.

She was a resident of the Larchwood independent Living facility in College Hill where she was very active, and made very many friends whom she loved very much, and the feeling was mutual.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025 from 1-2pm, with services following at 2pm at the Margaret Jean Wells Chapel at Ohio Living Llanfair.
