Sara Paxton

Sara Elizabeth Cox Paxton, 85, of Wyoming, Ohio passed away on July 6, 2025 at home.

Her beloved husband, E. Stephens Paxton, was by her side.

Sara grew up in Carmel, IN and was the daughter of Autumn and Keith Cox.

She received her bachelor’s degree from Earlham College and a Master’s Degree from Ball State University.

She married the love of her life, Steve, on August 3, 1973.

Early in Sara’s career, she worked as an educator. She then went to work as the Human Resources Manager at the Drackett Company until retirement.

In retirement, Sara enjoyed being a part of

the Institute for Learning in Retirement as well as being involved at The Cincinnati Woman’s Club, the Breast Cancer Alliance and the Wyoming Green Acres Trust.

Sara is survived by her husband, Steve, sister Nancy Childs (Don), niece Stacy Matthews (Richard), two great nieces, three great nephews and a dear cat named Kitty.

In accordance with Sara’s wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service. The family invites you to honor her memory in your own way.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Breast Cancer Alliance, the Cincinnati Woman’s Club or the Wyoming School Foundation.
