Sheenagh M. Tucker

TUCKER, Sheenagh M. (nee O’Doherty). Beloved wife of Thomas S. Tucker for 52 years. loving mother of Sharon Tucker, Rebecca (Chris) Cash, Darrell (Amanda) Tucker and Colleen Tucker. Cherished Gran of Mikaela, Gabriel, Faustina, Catherine, Adeline, Pauline, Madeline, Bella, Caitlin and Jackson. Dear sister of Lucille Galli-Phillips, Patrick (Sally) O’Doherty, Colman O’Doherty, Anne (John) Webb and the late Hugh O’Doherty. She was preceded by her parents, Dr. Colman O’Doherty and Audrey (nee McDermott) O’Doherty. Sheenagh passed away April 23, 2025 at the age of 78.

Sheenagh was born at Westminster Hospital in London, England. She grew up in Wimbledon with her parents and siblings, where she was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic Church. She graduated from St. Nicholas Montessori Training College in London and was an accomplished ballet dancer, training in Wimbledon. 

As a young woman, she taught in Italy as a Montessori Teacher. She eventually moved to the United States, where her mother was born. After working as a nanny, she continued her Montessori career and worked with children and adults with special needs.

Sheenagh spoke lovingly of England and visited as frequently as possible. She also cherished her Irish roots. Sheenagh loved to travel the world with her husband Thomas. Together, they explored the world, by land and sea.

Sheenagh will be dearly missed by her husband, children, grandchildren, and family in England. May she rest in the peace of Jesus.

Funeral Service will take place at the Hodapp Funeral Home 7401 Vine St., Carthage, Friday, May 2nd at 4PM. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to Parkinson Support and Wellness, in honor of Thomas and Sheenagh Tucker.
