With heavy hearts and tender memories, we mark the passing of Sherry L Conner-Alexander, who was born in Cincinnati on October 21, 1962, and departed this world on July 21, 2026.

Sherry’s journey began in Cincinnati, the city that shaped her earliest memories and where she in turn shaped so many around her. She grew up surrounded by love, guided by the wisdom and care of her mother, Phyllis Walton, and her late father, George Singleton. The enduring bond with her family, stitched through years of trials and triumphs, was anchored in unwavering commitment to those she cherished most.

In the story of her life, Sherry was a devoted mother and business owner of Esquire Dry Cleaners as a seamstress, specializing in alterations and dressmaking for 25 years. Her experience highlights the dedication and skill required to thrive in balancing family responsibilities with entrepreneurial duties. Sherry was a nurturing mother to her son Chad Estes, son Tyler Conner, daughter Meghan Alexander and Scott Alexander remain as reflections of her care and gentle guidance. Becoming Grandma to Sawyer Day, Declan Estes and Jacob Estes brought her tremendous joy. She also leaves behind her dearest friend Jill Sprowl who loved her like ‘the daughter she never had’ and many other loving friends.

Sherry had a gentle heart that animals seemed to sense instantly. Whether it was the family dog curled up in her lap, a stray cat being taken in, any injured wild animal or the birds she fed each week, she treated every creature with kindness and respect. Her home was a haven not just for people, but for any animal in need. 

The ripples of Sherry’s life extend far beyond her family. Whether quietly lifting others up in moments of need, creating joy out of the ordinary, or simply being present with genuine kindness, her legacy is stitched into the tapestry of many lives. Those who gather now to mourn her passing remember the laughter shared at the table, the soothing reassurance of her voice, and the gentle certainty that in Sherry, they always had an ally.

Sherry was preceded in death by Mike Conner father of Tyler Conner, son Tyler Conner, father George Singleton, and brother Greg Singleton.

As we grieve her loss, we also celebrate the enduring gifts that Sherry leaves behind: the soft echoes of her wisdom, the strength of her compassion, and the lasting illumination of her love. Her life spanned decades of memories, each one a testament to the depth of her caring soul.

Family, friends, and all those touched by Sherry’s life are invited to gather and honor her memory. Visitation will be held at Hodapp Funeral Homes - 8815 Cincinnati Columbus Rd., West Chester, OH, on July 29, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Service 11:00 to 12:00 at the same location.
