Shirley Grace Ziklo

Shirley Grace Ziklo (nee Warner), beloved wife of the late John Barrett "Jack" Ziklo. Loving Mother of Mae Beth (Cindy) Brunsman, John Brian (the late Cathy) Ziklo, and Valerie (the late Todd) Severtson. Dear Grandmother of Jenny (Steven) Lachtrupp, Chris (Kristi) Taylor, Rob (Aisian) Taylor, Katie Taylor, Wil Ziklo, Kyle Ziklo, and Olivia Severtson. Cherished Great Grandmother of Kaylie, Jaxon, Izzy, Allie, Elsie, Mikenleigh, Aubrey, and Riley. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents Stephen and Bertha Warner and 8 siblings. She is survived by one sister, Carol Warner. 

Shirley was born in Roaring, West Virginia in 1936. Shirley graduated in 1957 from the Ohio Valley School of Nursing and retired after a long career. She and her husband Jack were married in 1959 and were married for 62 years. Shirley was a woman of great faith and a lifelong member of the Church of The Nazarene. She was always learning and an avid reader. She loved doing puzzles and playing Scrabble with her family. 

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Ohio Living Mount Pleasant Nursing Center for their care of Shirley and kindness to the family. Special appreciation to loving caregiver Chrissy Owens. 

Visitation will be held at Hodapp Funeral Home, 6410 Cincinnati Dayton Rd., Liberty Twp., OH 45044 from 5 PM until time of Funeral Service at 7 PM. Thursday, April 27, 2023. A Graveside service will be held at Bergholz Cemetery on Friday, April 28, 2023, at 12 Noon. Donations may be made to The Ohio Living at Mt. Pleasant Hospice Fund.
