Sister Mary Timothea O'Neill, RSM

Sister Mary Timothea O’Neill, sister of the Sisters of Mercy for 73 years.  Daughter of the late Timothy O’Neill and Mary Gartner.  Passed away on March 22, 2022 at the age of 90.  Survived by sister, Eileen McKeown and many nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by Colleen Muchmore.

Sister Mary Timothea was born in Cincinnati, attended Nativity Grade School and Mother of Mercy High School.  She earned a BSED from Our Lady of Cincinnati College and an MA from Xavier University.

She taught elementary school, was principal at St. Richard’s School, taught theology at McAuley High School, and later was involved in parish ministry to the elderly at St. Martin’s.  Visitation will be at McAuley Convent on Tuesday, March 29, from 4:00 till Mass time.  Mass of the Resurrection will begin at 6:15.   Burial Wednesday at St. Joseph (new) Cemetery, leaving McAuley Convent at 9:30.  Memorials may be directed to Sisters of Mercy, McAuley Convent, 1768 Cedar Ave., Cincinnati, 45224
