Steven W. Grawe

June 15, 1938 — April 12, 2026

Steven W. Grawe, 87, of West Chester, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Apirl 12th. Born on June 15, 1938, he lived a full and meaningful life defined by devotion to his family, faith, and community. Preceded in death by his parents William and Irene Grawe and brother Bill Grawe.

Steve is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra (“Sandy”) Grawe; his two daughters, Sallie and Stefanie; his son-in-law, Bob; and his four cherished grandchildren, Rachel, Henry, Molly and Eric and his precious dog Bella. Sister-in-laws Joyce Grawe and Gayle Bernhard and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a proud and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, dedicated to his family in every aspect of his life.

Steve built a long and successful career as a sales manager with DuBois Chemicals, where he worked for more than 30 years. He was known for his strong work ethic, integrity, and ability to genuinely connect with others.

A graduate of Beechwood High School in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky, Steve carried forward a lifelong commitment to service and mentorship. He gave generously of his time as a youth softball and soccer coach (with 5 undefeated years) helping guide and encourage young people in his community. Through Christ’s Church at Mason, he served as a Boy Scout troop leader, because as a scout he knew the importance of building character at a young age.

In retirement, Steve and Sandy embraced their love of travel, exploring the United States and Canada in their Airstream. He was an active member of the Airstream community, forming lasting friendships along the way. He also cherished time spent fishing, especially on Lake Erie with close friends where laughter and companionship were as important as the catch.

Steve was a natural tinkerer who enjoyed fixing things around the house and had a genuine curiosity about how things worked. His love of all things nature was evident in his backyard, where he enjoyed feeding birds, squirrels and even deer.

Above all, Steve was a man of faith—a child of God who loved his family and friends unconditionally. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and the quiet strength with which he lived his life.

Visitation will be held at Christ Church at Mason 5165 Western Row Rd. Mason Ohio 45040 on Saturday April, 25, from 10am until the time of the funeral service beginning at 12 noon. A graveside service will take place at Floral Hills cemetery Taylor Mill, Ky. Monday, April 27, at 11am.
