Steven L. Mitchell

Steven Lee Mitchell, rejoined Heavenly Father on September 20th 2022 at the age of 69. He was survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Mary Mitchell, his 3 loving children, Roberta Maus, Samantha Cook, and Peter Mitchell, and devoted 10 grandchildren, and sworn brother, Mike Wenger. Aside from family, Steven, known to all his friends and family as Steve, left his impression on all those who were lucky enough to be a part of his life. This included members of his church, Scouts, Patriot Guard Riders, and many more.

Steven was a Coast Guard Veteran and published author. He was known for his witty and sarcastic sense of humor and loved to make those around him laugh. He was a mentor to many and will be remembered for the life lessons he taught. He was a movie enthusiast who enjoyed the Sci-fi genre, and was a Trekkie at heart. He also had a passion for theater and would often be heard humming or singing his favorite musical scores. He found great joy in creating his model ships, railroad layouts, and loved going for rides on his motorcycles.

Visitation will be held Tuesday October 4th at Hodapp Funeral Home 6410 Cincinnati-Dayton Rd. Liberty Twp, OH 45044 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. A wake will be held at 9am, before the funeral service, on Wednesday October 5th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 7118 Dutchland Pkwy, Middletown, OH 45044. Funeral service will begin at 10:30am with burial to follow.
